About This Item
The Pentair Linear Temperature Sensor (TS5L) is the OEM replacement temperature sensing element for Pentair Compool pool and spa automation control systems.
IMPORTANT: LICENSED PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION REQUIRED
Electrical control components must be installed or replaced by a qualified electrician or certified pool technician. The Compool automation system operates on mains voltage. Do not attempt to service or replace this sensor without disconnecting power to the control system and verifying safe working conditions.
The TS5L provides water or air temperature readings to the Compool control system, enabling accurate automated management of heating, mode switching, and temperature-based equipment operation. A failed or out-of-calibration sensor can cause erratic temperature readings, incorrect heater activation, or failure of temperature-triggered automation functions. Replacing a suspect sensor with a confirmed OEM unit restores accurate temperature input to the control system.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
Before ordering, confirm that your system is a Compool-branded control panel — not an IntelliTouch or EasyTouch unit — as sensor part numbers differ between these platforms. The part number TS5L should appear on the original sensor body or in the wiring diagram section of your Compool installation manual. The red and green wire identification is a useful field check: if your existing sensor uses a different wire color pairing, verify the part number directly from the sensor body or from your Compool system's wiring diagram before purchasing.
