What It Does
The diffuser (Item No. 17 in the EQ Series pump assembly) channels water flow from the impeller into the pump volute, converting velocity into pressure to maintain efficient hydraulic output. A worn or damaged diffuser reduces flow performance and can cause the pump to work harder than necessary — restoring it with the correct OEM part brings the pump back to rated performance.
