About This Item
The Pentair Gas Engine Spark Electrodes (476081Z) are the OEM replacement ignition electrodes for the Pentair ETi series and UltraTemp ETi gas-assisted pool and spa heaters. When the spark electrode fails, the heater's ignition sequence cannot complete — resulting in a no-heat condition and preventing the burner from firing.
IMPORTANT: LICENSED PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION REQUIRED
Gas and electrical heater components must be serviced by a licensed pool professional or qualified HVAC technician. Do not attempt to service gas or high-voltage components without proper certification.
The spark electrode generates the high-voltage ignition spark that initiates combustion at the burner assembly in natural gas and liquid propane heater configurations. A worn or fouled electrode produces a weak or absent spark, causing ignition failure, nuisance lockouts, or repeated ignition attempts without flame establishment. Replacing this electrode with the correct OEM part restores reliable ignition performance to the heater's original specification.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
When replacing the spark electrode, inspect the ignition wire and connector for cracks, corrosion, or carbon tracking at the same time — a degraded wire can cause the same no-ignition symptom even with a new electrode installed. Always confirm the heater is fully depressurized and the gas supply is isolated before any component is accessed. This service must be performed by a licensed professional.
