Pentair Tank O-Ring | PLM & PLD Series Filters | 27001-0061S

The Pentair Tank O-Ring (27001-0061S) is the OEM replacement cord-ring for the Sta-Rite System:2 Modular Media Filter (PLM Series), System:2 Modular D.E. Filter (PLD / PLDE Series), and associated PLD Filter Systems. This is the center O-ring that seals the filter tank housing.

IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.

IMPORTANT: PLD SERIES — MODEL YEAR APPLIES
For PLD Filter Systems (models 155331P, 155333P, and PLD50), this cord-ring applies to units manufactured 2009 and beyond. Verify your filter's manufacture date before ordering.

This cord-ring seats in the groove at the tank's mid-section joint, creating the primary pressure seal between the upper and lower tank halves. A worn or damaged cord-ring allows pressurised water to escape at the tank seam. Replacing it restores a leak-free seal and allows the filter to maintain correct operating pressure.

Before fitting the new cord-ring, clean the tank groove thoroughly — any grit or old lubricant residue left in the channel will prevent a consistent seal. Apply a thin, even coat of silicone-based lubricant around the entire circumference of the O-ring before seating it. We recommend the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant — it is formulated for Pentair filter seals and will not degrade the rubber compound. Never use petroleum-based lubricants, which will cause the O-ring to swell and fail prematurely.
