The Pentair Air Flow Switch (42001-0061S) is the OEM replacement air flow switch for Pentair MasterTemp and Pentair (formerly Sta-Rite) Max-E-Therm pool heaters.

The air flow switch monitors combustion air flow within the heater's burner system. When air flow drops below the required threshold — due to a blocked flue, failed blower, or a faulty switch — the switch interrupts the ignition sequence to prevent unsafe operation. A failed air flow switch commonly presents as a heater that powers on but will not ignite, or that locks out on an air flow fault code. Replacing this switch with the correct OEM part restores the heater's ability to verify safe combustion conditions before firing.
