The Pentair Seal Plate Kit (C203-193P) is the OEM replacement seal plate assembly for the Sta-Rite Dura-Glas and Max-E-Glas pool pumps, covering general models P2R, P2RA, PE, and PEA.

This kit includes one (1) Seal Plate, one (1) 17304-0100S New Style Shaft Seal, and one (1) U9-228 Seal Plate O-Ring — all required components supplied together in a single purchase.
The seal plate is the structural interface between the pump's motor and wet end. This kit replaces the seal plate assembly when wear, cracking, or shaft seal failure requires wet-end disassembly and rebuild. The 17304-0100S New Style Shaft Seal and U9-228 O-ring are included to ensure a complete, leak-free reinstallation.
This kit is the new-style version and does not require the J3-2 Copper Insert. It is backwards-compatible — it fits both earlier pump builds that originally used the copper insert and current builds that do not.

When rebuilding the wet end on a Dura-Glas or Max-E-Glas pump, replace the shaft seal and seal plate O-ring at the same time — even if only one component shows visible wear. Reusing a partially worn shaft seal after wet-end disassembly is a leading cause of repeat seal failures. This kit supplies all three components together so there is no need to source them separately.
