Dyna-Pro and Dyna-Pro E compatibility covers 1/2 through 2-1/2 HP models only. IntelliPro VS compatibility applies to units manufactured before 2019. Verify your model number and production date against your equipment manual before ordering.
The diffuser O-ring seals the joint between the diffuser and the pump volute, maintaining hydraulic integrity through the wet end. A degraded or missing O-ring at this location allows air infiltration and pressure loss, reducing pump efficiency and potentially causing the pump to lose prime entirely. Replacing this O-ring at each wet-end service interval is standard practice.

Pro Tip
Never reinstall a diffuser O-ring dry. Apply a thin, even coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring before seating it. Petroleum-based lubricants will degrade the O-ring compound — use silicone only. Before installing the new O-ring, inspect the diffuser groove for debris or scoring; a damaged groove seat will cause premature failure regardless of O-ring condition.
