This machined brass nut secures the band assembly that holds the filter tank body together on Pentair DE filter models including the FNS24, FNS36, FNS48, FNS60, Quad DE 60, Quad DE 80, and Quad DE 100. A failed or stripped band nut compromises the integrity of the tank band clamp, which can result in filter body separation under operating pressure.
