The Pentair O-Ring Drain Plug (192115Z) is the OEM replacement drain plug O-ring for a wide range of Pentair inground and variable speed pumps, as well as Triton II sand filters. Sold individually — most pump applications require two.
IMPORTANT: QUANTITY — 2 REQUIRED PER PUMP
Most Pentair pump models use two of these O-rings — one per drain plug location. Check your equipment's parts diagram to confirm quantity before ordering. The OptiFlo, WhisperFloXF, EQ Series, MAX-E-PRO XF, Challenger High Flow, and Triton II sand filter models require only one.
IMPORTANT: VERSION / DATE QUALIFIER
For IntelliPro VS+SVRS and IntelliFlo VS+SVRS models, this O-ring applies to units manufactured after June 2016. For IntelliFlo i1 and i2 models, this applies to units manufactured after April 2016. For Triton II sand filters, this O-ring applies to units manufactured after March 1983. Verify your manufacture date before ordering.
IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring seals the drain plug on the pump body or strainer pot, preventing water from bypassing the plug during operation and winterization. A worn or cracked drain plug O-ring is the most common cause of drip leaks at the pump's drain plug locations — replacing it restores a watertight seal without replacing the plug itself.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
When servicing the drain plugs at the start or end of season, replace this O-ring as a matter of course — the cost is minimal and a failed seal at the drain plug can go unnoticed until the equipment pad is flooded. Before reinstalling the plug, coat the O-ring with Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant to ensure a proper seat and prevent the O-ring material from drying out between seasons. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade the O-ring.
