Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring maintains the pressure seal at the C-18 sealing point on the C Series commercial pump. A worn or damaged O-ring at this location allows air ingestion or water leakage that disrupts pump prime and flow — replacing it with the correct OEM part restores the factory-spec seal.
