Pool lighting components operate in wet environments. Installation must comply with NEC Article 680 and be performed by a licensed electrician.
This EP40 2-335 O-ring seals the Pentair pool and spa light housing. A deteriorated or damaged O-ring will allow water to enter the light fixture, compromising both the luminaire and the safety of the installation. Replacing this O-ring at service intervals maintains a watertight seal and protects the light assembly.

Whenever you have a pool light out of its niche for bulb replacement or cord service, replace this O-ring as a matter of course — even if it appears intact. O-rings that have been compressed and heat-cycled will not seal reliably when re-seated. Before reinstalling, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring to ensure proper seating and prevent tearing during reassembly. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they degrade EPDM and silicone O-ring compounds.
