The Pentair Back-Up Valve (LL10PM) is the OEM replacement gray back-up valve for the Kreepy Krauly Legend and Kreepy Krauly Platinum automatic pool cleaners.
The back-up valve periodically releases a jet of water to reverse the cleaner's direction, preventing it from getting stuck in corners or on steps. When this valve fails or sticks, the cleaner loses the ability to free itself and will repeatedly hang up in the same spots — replacing it restores normal random-pattern coverage across the pool floor and walls.
