The union adapter provides the slip-connection interface point where 2-inch plumbing meets compatible Pentair equipment. A correctly fitted adapter maintains a leak-free seal at the equipment union and allows the plumbing connection to be broken and restored for equipment servicing without cutting pipe. Replace when an adapter is cracked, warped, or no longer seating properly within the union assembly.
