The Pentair Standpipe Assembly (152227) is the OEM replacement pipe assembly for the Sand Dollar Aboveground Sand Filter Model SD60 and the Cristal-Flo II High-Rate Sand Filter with a 22-inch tank.
The standpipe runs vertically through the center of the sand filter tank, connecting the multiport valve at the top to the lateral assembly at the bottom. When the standpipe cracks, warps, or develops a leak at its connection points, sand and unfiltered water can bypass the filter bed and return directly to the pool. Replacing it with the correct OEM assembly restores the sealed flow path the filter depends on to function properly.
