The Pentair Seal Plate (356795) is the OEM replacement seal plate for the EQ Series commercial plastic pump line.
The seal plate forms the structural interface between the pump's wet end and motor assembly, housing the mechanical shaft seal and maintaining the pressure boundary between the motor and the hydraulic chamber. A worn or cracked seal plate is a common cause of shaft seal failure and water intrusion into the motor end.

When replacing the seal plate, inspect the mechanical shaft seal at the same time — if the seal plate has failed, the shaft seal is typically at or near end of service life as well. Replacing both components together avoids a second pump teardown shortly after.
