This manifold is confirmed for Clean & Clear Plus 240 sq. ft. filters manufactured after November 1998. If your filter was manufactured before this date, verify the part number on the original manifold or in your equipment manual before ordering.
The top manifold assembly distributes incoming or outgoing water flow uniformly across the full surface area of the filter cartridges or D.E. grids below it. A failed or cracked manifold causes uneven flow distribution, pressure loss, and compromised filtration efficiency. Replacing this assembly restores correct hydraulic balance within the filter housing.

When installing the top manifold, inspect the manifold's mating surfaces and any associated O-rings or gaskets for cracking or deformation before reassembly — a compromised seal at the manifold connection is a common source of post-service pressure loss. On Quad D.E. filters, confirm the grid assembly is seated squarely before seating the top manifold; an off-center grid stack can stress the manifold and cause premature cracking.
