The Pentair Strainer Basket (070387Z) is the OEM replacement strainer basket for the WhisperFlo and IntelliFlo series of inground pool pumps.
The strainer basket sits inside the pump's front housing and captures leaves, debris, and other material before it can reach the impeller. A cracked, warped, or missing basket allows debris to bypass filtration and enter the impeller chamber, leading to reduced flow, clogged impellers, and accelerated wear. Replacing a damaged basket restores full debris protection and helps maintain optimal pump performance.

Pro Tip
Before ordering, check the part number molded into the bottom or side of your existing basket. The 070387Z or 070387 designation should be visible on the original part. While the pump is open for basket replacement, inspect the pump lid O-ring for cracking or deformation and replace it at the same time to prevent air leaks at the lid seal.
