The Pentair Strainer Basket (400007Z) is the OEM replacement strainer basket for the WhisperFlo XF, IntelliFlo XF, and Max-E-Pro XF series inground pool pumps, including compatible 3.0 HP IntelliFlo3 and IntelliPro3 variable speed models.

This basket is confirmed for 3.0 HP IntelliFlo3 and IntelliPro3 models only. If your IntelliFlo3 or IntelliPro3 pump is not the 3.0 HP variant, verify the correct strainer basket part number in your equipment manual before ordering.
The strainer basket sits inside the pump's strainer pot and intercepts leaves, debris, and coarse particulate before they can reach the impeller. A cracked or clogged basket allows debris to bypass this first-stage protection, increasing the risk of impeller fouling and hydraulic performance loss. Replacing a damaged basket restores the pre-filter barrier and helps protect the impeller from premature wear.
