The Pentair Air Relief Strainer (154578Z) is the OEM replacement air relief strainer for Triton II, Triton C-3, and TR Series sand filters manufactured before November 1, 1999.
IMPORTANT: DATE-SPECIFIC FITMENT
This strainer fits filters manufactured before November 1, 1999 only. Confirm your filter's manufacture date before ordering, as later production filters use a different air relief configuration.
This strainer sits inside the filter's air relief assembly, screening debris out of the airflow path while the assembly vents trapped air from the tank. A worn, cracked, or missing strainer allows debris to reach the air relief valve, leading to a poor seal and persistent air in the system.
