The Pentair Spigot (154698Z) is the OEM replacement 3/4" NPT sand drain spigot for Triton II and Tagelus sand filter tanks.
IMPORTANT: FILTER MANUFACTURE DATE APPLIES TO TRITON II MODELS
On Triton II sand filters (TR40, TR50, TR60, TR100, TR140), this spigot fits units manufactured after March 1983 — earlier production runs may use a different drain fitting. Tagelus clamp-style filters (TA 30D, TA 35D, TA 40D, TA 50D, TA 60D, TA 100D) are not subject to this date restriction per Pentair fit notes.
This spigot threads into the 3/4" NPT drain port on the filter tank bottom, providing the connection point for attaching a drain hose or fitting to empty the tank during backwashing, winterizing, or service.
