About This Item
The Pentair Internal Air Bleed Assembly (190092) is the OEM replacement air bleed assembly for the Pentair FNS Plus vertical grid D.E. filter series.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: TWO VERSIONS OF THIS PART EXIST
Filters manufactured before October 2009 use a porous white material assembly. Filters manufactured after October 2009 use a stainless steel mesh assembly. Confirm your filter's manufacture date before ordering to ensure you receive the correct version.
The internal air bleed assembly vents trapped air from the filter tank during startup and normal operation, maintaining consistent water flow through the D.E. grids. When this assembly cracks, clogs, or fails, air can become trapped in the tank — causing air lock, pressure irregularities, or reduced filtration performance. Replacing the assembly restores proper venting and consistent filter operation. Match the part number on your existing assembly to 190092 before ordering.

Pro Tip
When replacing the air bleed assembly, inspect the surrounding tank manifold and O-rings for wear at the same time — a compromised seal nearby can cause the same air-lock symptoms even after the assembly is replaced. Your filter's installation manual will identify the companion O-ring part numbers specific to your FNS Plus model size.
