The Pentair Cord O-Ring (24850-0009) is the OEM replacement tank seal for System 3 filter models, sealing the tank halves at the clamp band where the upper and lower tank sections join.
The cord ring seats in the tank seam where the upper and lower tank halves meet, creating the pressure-tight seal that the clamp band compresses against. A worn, cracked, or improperly seated cord ring is a common source of tank seam leaks during filtration cycles.
