This assembly combines the filter tank's air relief valve, 2 in. pressure gauge, nipple, and adapter bushing into a single replacement kit. It lets you purge trapped air from the filter tank and monitor system operating pressure from the same top-mounted location, so a worn or leaking valve or a stuck/inaccurate gauge can be corrected in one service action.

When you replace this assembly, check the gauge reading with the pump off and the system fully depressurized — it should read at or near 0 psi. A gauge that won't return to zero, or an air relief valve that continues to weep water after the manual purge is closed, points to a failed O-ring seal at the valve base rather than a bad gauge, and this kit resolves both in one part.
