The Pentair Air Release Valve with O-Ring (25010-0200) is the OEM replacement air release valve for the Pentair System:2 Modular D.E. and Cartridge Filter series, including the PLM, PLD, and PLDE lines.

Compatibility with PLD Filter Systems models 155331P and 155333P is confirmed for units manufactured 2009 and beyond. Verify your filter's manufacture date before ordering if you are unsure of your unit's production year.

Always lubricate the included O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
The air release valve sits at the top of the filter tank and allows trapped air to bleed out of the system during startup and after backwashing. A failed or stuck valve prevents proper air purging, which can reduce filtration efficiency and cause pressure irregularities at the filter gauge. This assembly includes the valve and its companion O-ring (U9-359Z) as a single ready-to-install unit — no separate O-ring sourcing required.

The O-ring included with this assembly (U9-359Z) should be lubricated before installation to ensure a proper seat and prevent tearing. Apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring before threading the valve into the filter tank. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade the rubber and cause premature seal failure. If you are servicing a PLD series filter, confirm your unit's manufacture date is 2009 or later before ordering.
