This listing is a complete Strainer Pot Kit, not an individual replacement part. Confirm your pump requires the full kit before ordering. This includes the strainer pot, screw gaskets, strainer basket, pot lid and lid o-ring as pictured, labeled as Part #33 encapsulated shown below.
The strainer pot houses the pump's strainer basket, sitting between the lid assembly and the volute so that debris is captured before water reaches the impeller. A cracked, warped, or corroded strainer pot can cause air leaks, loss of prime, or reduced flow at the pump inlet.
