This conversion kit is not supplied with the MasterTemp 250NA or 250LP heater at the time of purchase. It must be ordered separately when a fuel-type conversion is required.
This kit reconfigures the MasterTemp / Max-E-Therm 250's burner system from liquid propane to natural gas operation. The two fuel types require different orifice sizing and gas valve calibration to maintain correct combustion and heat output. Installing the correct OEM conversion kit ensures the heater operates within Pentair's rated performance specifications after the fuel change — using non-OEM components or incorrect orifice sizes can result in incomplete combustion, sooting, or unsafe operation.

The Max-E-Therm 250 and MasterTemp 250 share the same burner platform, so this kit applies to both series at the 250 BTU rating. Conversion kits are not interchangeable across BTU ratings (e.g., a 400K kit will not work on a 250K heater).
