This membrane pad fits MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm heaters manufactured before May 5, 2021 only. Check the date-of-manufacture label on your heater before ordering — heaters produced on or after that date require a different part.
The membrane pad is the primary user interface on the MasterTemp and Max-E-Therm heater control panel, providing the button input surface used to set temperature, switch between pool and spa modes, and activate or deactivate the heater. Degraded membrane contacts cause unresponsive or erratic button behavior; replacing the membrane pad restores reliable heater control without replacing the full control board assembly.
