The Pentair O-Ring #2-152 Buna 70 Shore (51016200Z) is the OEM replacement O-ring for Pentair PacFab and Compool 1-1/2 in. and 2 in. diverter valves — including 2-way, 3-way, and 3-way solar drain-down assemblies.

Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring seats inside the diverter valve body, maintaining a watertight seal between the valve rotor and housing. When this O-ring wears, flattens, or degrades, the valve loses its ability to seal fully, allowing water to bypass the intended flow path or weep past the diverter handle. Replacing it restores proper directional control and eliminates bypass leakage. Match the part number stamped on your existing O-ring or cross-reference against your valve assembly diagram before ordering.

Pro Tip
Before installation, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring. This helps seat it evenly, prevents tearing during assembly, and extends service life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade Buna-N rubber and cause premature failure. While the valve is disassembled, inspect the rotor and valve body seating surfaces for scoring or debris that may have caused the original O-ring to fail.
