PKG115 is a complete suction trap assembly — not a single replacement component. The kit includes the 5-inch trap body and strainer basket together as one package.
The suction trap sits on the inlet side of the pump, capturing hair, lint, and debris before they reach the impeller. A functioning trap protects pump efficiency and prevents impeller clogging; a cracked trap body or deteriorated basket allows debris to pass through, accelerating wear on internal pump components. PKG115 replaces the entire strainer assembly in one service step — trap body and basket together — restoring full suction-side protection.
