The Pentair Mechanical Shaft Seal (S32014) is the OEM replacement shaft seal for the Sta-Rite CSPH and CCSPH Series commercial pumps — specifically for all non-20 HP models in that series.
What It Does
The mechanical shaft seal forms a watertight barrier between the pump's wet end and the motor, preventing water from migrating along the motor shaft into the motor housing. A failing shaft seal is typically the first sign of a wet-end leak — water weeping from the seal plate area indicates the seal faces have worn or separated and the seal requires immediate replacement to prevent motor damage.
