About This Item
The Pentair 3/8-16 x 1 In. Hex Head Screw (U30-74SS / U30-74SSZ) is the OEM replacement fastener for the Max-E-Pro, Dyna-Pro, Dyna-Pro E, IntelliPro, and EQ Series pump and valve equipment lines.
IMPORTANT: QUANTITY REQUIRED VARIES BY MODEL
This listing is for one (1) screw. The Max-E-Pro DOE (model 348185) and the EQ Series commercial pumps (EQ300, EQ500, EQ750 3PH) each require four (4) screws per unit. Verify the quantity you need before ordering.
IMPORTANT: VERSION QUALIFIER — INTELLIPRO & EQ SERIES
This screw fits the IntelliPro Variable Speed Pump produced before 2019. If your IntelliPro was manufactured in 2019 or later, verify the part number in your equipment manual before ordering. For EQ Series, this screw fits EQ300, EQ500, and EQ750 3PH models only.
This hex head screw secures pump housing and component assemblies across multiple Pentair inground pump and valve platforms. Replacing worn, stripped, or corroded fasteners with the correct OEM-spec hardware maintains proper clamping torque and prevents housing leaks or component misalignment.

Poolaroo Pro Tip
When replacing pump housing or valve fasteners, inspect all screws as a set — corrosion and thread wear rarely affect only one. Replacing all fasteners at the same time ensures uniform clamping torque across the housing flange and reduces the likelihood of a return leak. Use a calibrated torque wrench and follow the torque specification in your equipment's installation manual; over-tightening fasteners into plastic pump bodies can crack the housing.
