The Pentair Air Release Valve with O-Ring (24206-0103S) is the OEM replacement air release valve for the PLDE48 System:2 Modular D.E. Filter and the PLM Series System:2 Modular Media Filters.
IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate the O-ring on this valve with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This valve mounts to the filter tank and releases trapped air from the system, working in conjunction with its integrated O-ring to maintain a proper air-tight seal at the vent stem. A worn or damaged O-ring at this location is a common source of air leaks or loss of pressure at the filter tank.
