About This Item
The Pentair WhisperFlo Impeller (073130Z) is the OEM replacement 2HP impeller for the WhisperFlo series inground pool pump, designed for use across the WF-8, WF-30, WFE-8, WFE-30, WFK-8, WFDS-8, and WFDS-30 model configurations.
The impeller is the rotating core of your pump's hydraulic assembly — it draws water through the strainer housing and drives it toward the filter and return lines. When an impeller becomes worn, cracked, or clogged beyond clearing, flow rate drops and the motor works harder against reduced output. Replacing the impeller with the correct OEM part restores the pump's designed flow performance for the 2HP configuration.

Pro Tip
WhisperFlo impellers are HP-rated — the 073130Z is specific to the 2HP configuration. Before ordering, confirm the horsepower of your pump motor, as different HP ratings use different impellers and they are not interchangeable. The HP rating is typically printed on your motor's nameplate label. If you're opening the pump for impeller replacement, it's also the right time to inspect the shaft seal and replace it if there's any sign of moisture or residue behind the impeller — a seal failure is often what caused the impeller damage in the first place.
