IMPORTANT: QUANTITY REQUIRED VARIES BY MODEL
Tagelus filter models (TA 50, TA 50D, TA 60D) require 6 laterals per filter. Sand Dollar, Cristal-Flo II, and Triton II TR60 applications require 1 lateral per service position. Confirm how many laterals your filter needs before ordering.
IMPORTANT: MANUFACTURE DATE APPLIES
This lateral fits specific production runs only. Sand Dollar filters must be manufactured after October 2004; Triton II TR60 units after June 2007; Cristal-Flo II systems from 2009 and beyond. Check your filter's manufacture date label before ordering to confirm fitment.
Laterals are the slotted arms that radiate from the standpipe at the base of a sand filter's internal distribution assembly. They allow filtered water to pass through while retaining sand media in the tank. A cracked or broken lateral allows sand to bypass the filter and return to the pool — replacing the affected lateral restores proper filtration and stops sand blowback.
