About This Item
The Pentair Pipe Assembly SD70 (152000) is the OEM replacement pipe assembly for the Cristal-Flo II High-Rate Sand Filter (24-inch tank) and the Sand Dollar SD70 Sand Filter.
The standpipe is the central internal tube that channels filtered water from the laterals at the base of the filter tank up through the valve and back to the pool. A cracked, warped, or improperly seated standpipe allows unfiltered water — and sand — to bypass the lateral assembly and return directly to the pool. Replacing a damaged standpipe with this OEM-matched assembly restores the filter's internal flow path and prevents sand from passing through to the return lines.

Pro Tip
Before ordering, inspect the existing standpipe for the part number or model designation molded into the pipe body or collar — confirm it matches 152000. If your filter is a Cristal-Flo II, also verify your tank diameter is 24 inches; other Cristal-Flo II tank sizes use a different standpipe assembly. When the filter is open for standpipe replacement, it is also an ideal time to inspect the lateral assembly for cracked or broken arms, which are a common secondary cause of sand returning to the pool.
