About This Item
The Pentair 154004Z is the OEM replacement Parker #2-342 O-ring for the Triton C-3 Fiberglass Sand Filter. This listing is for a single O-ring — 2 are required per filter for a complete service.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: 2 REQUIRED PER FILTER
Two of these O-rings are required per Triton C-3 Sand Filter. This listing is sold individually — order a quantity of 2 to complete a full service.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring seals the joint on the Triton C-3 Sand Filter. A degraded or compressed O-ring at this location allows water to bypass the seal, resulting in leaks at the filter head connection. Replacing both O-rings at the same service interval restores a proper pressure-tight seal and prevents water loss at the filter.

Pro Tip
Always replace both O-rings as a matched pair — even if only one shows visible damage. O-rings at this location are subject to the same age, heat cycling, and compression fatigue, so replacing only one often leads to a repeat leak within a short period. Before installation, apply a thin, even coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to each O-ring to help it seat evenly and prevent tearing during assembly. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade rubber O-rings and cause premature failure.
