About This Item
The Pentair 154412Z is the OEM replacement 2-inch internal locknut for Triton C-3 and TR Series sand filters, securing bulkhead fittings through the filter tank wall to maintain a watertight seal at plumbing connection points.
This locknut threads onto the external portion of a bulkhead fitting from inside the tank, clamping the fitting body against the tank wall and creating a pressure-rated seal. When the original nut cracks, strips, or no longer holds torque, the connection point becomes a source of slow leaks or fitting movement under system pressure. Replacing it restores a secure, leak-free bulkhead assembly. On TR Series models, this part serves as both locknut and nut at the 2-inch internal connection.

Compatibility is based on Pentair parts documentation and available OEM records. This is not an exhaustive list. For certainty, verify the part number in your equipment's manual or on the original part itself before ordering.
Pro Tip
Before ordering, check the part number molded or stamped on your existing locknut — bulkhead fittings on Pentair sand filters are sized to specific connection diameters, and ordering the wrong size will result in a loose or non-seating fit. If you are replacing the locknut due to a leak at the bulkhead, inspect the bulkhead fitting body and any associated O-ring or gasket at the same time; a worn fitting or degraded seal face will cause the new nut to leak regardless of how tightly it is torqued.
