About This Item
The Pentair Air Relief Tube (154437) is the OEM replacement air relief tube for Triton II and Triton C-3 sand filters, measuring 23 inches in length.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: DATE-OF-MANUFACTURE RESTRICTION
This tube is designed for Triton C-3 and TR100C filters manufactured before November 1999. If your filter was manufactured after 11-99, this is not the correct replacement. Check your filter's date-of-manufacture label before ordering.
The air relief tube channels trapped air out of the filter tank during startup and backwash cycles, allowing the system to purge air pockets that would otherwise reduce filtration efficiency and cause pressure irregularities. A cracked, kinked, or missing air relief tube prevents proper air purging and can result in erratic pressure gauge readings or air entering the return lines.

Pro Tip
Before ordering, locate the date-of-manufacture label on your filter tank — typically found on the tank body near the base or on the label plate. If your filter was produced after November 1999, consult your equipment manual for the correct air relief tube part number. When replacing the tube, inspect the air relief valve assembly at the same time; a worn valve seat or cracked fitting can cause the same air-in-system symptoms even after the tube is replaced.
