This closure kit is confirmed for Triton II TR100 and TR140 filters manufactured after 10-1-01, and for Triton C-3 models manufactured after 4-15. It is not confirmed for earlier production units. Check the manufacture date label on your filter tank before ordering.

This kit is sized for the 8-1/2" buttress-thread opening. Pentair produces closure kits in multiple sizes — confirm the thread diameter on your existing closure or in your filter's installation manual before ordering.
The buttress thread closure seals the top of the sand filter tank, maintaining operating pressure and preventing water loss at the tank head. Buttress-style threads provide higher axial load resistance than standard thread forms — the correct engagement style for pressurised filter vessels. A worn, cracked, or damaged closure allows pressurised water to escape at the tank joint. This kit replaces the complete closure assembly to restore a proper seal.
