Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This standup O-ring seats vertically within the filter valve assembly, creating a pressure-tight seal that prevents water from bypassing the filter media. A deteriorated or flattened standup O-ring is a common cause of water leaking from the multiport valve area on Tagelus filters. Match the part number on your existing O-ring before ordering to confirm this is the correct size for your valve configuration.
