About This Item

OEM Manifold Retainer Rod for Pentair Nautilus Filter Systems

The Pentair 192184 is the OEM replacement manifold retainer rod for the Nautilus Filter (Model NS48) and Nautilus Plus Filter (Model NSP18), featuring a 5/16" thread and 27-1/2" stainless steel construction.

What It Does

The manifold retainer rod secures the internal filter manifold assembly within the tank, maintaining correct positioning of the filtration elements during operation. A damaged, corroded, or broken retainer rod allows the manifold to shift under pressure, compromising filter performance and potentially damaging internal components. Replacing this rod restores the structural integrity of the manifold stack.

Pro Tip

Before ordering, measure your existing rod's length and thread size and compare against the specifications above. The 27-1/2" length and 5/16" thread are specific to these Nautilus models — using an incorrect rod length can prevent proper manifold seating and result in unfiltered water bypassing the filter elements. If the original rod shows corrosion pitting along the threads, inspect the manifold end caps and retaining hardware at the same time — corrosion rarely affects only one component.
