The Pentair 60 Grid Element Pack (198083) is the complete OEM replacement grid set for the FNS Plus FNSP60 diatomaceous earth filter. This pack contains all eight grid elements required for a full service — seven large elements and one small element — restoring the filter's full 60 square foot filtration capacity in a single order.

The grid elements are the filtration core of the FNS Plus D.E. filter. D.E. powder coats the fabric surface of each grid, forming the active filtration media that captures particles down to 2–5 microns. Over time, grid fabric degrades, tears, or develops channeling that allows unfiltered water to bypass the media. Replacing the full grid pack restores the filter's rated capacity and prevents D.E. from passing back into the pool.

Pro Tip
When replacing the grid pack, inspect the manifold, standpipe, and bump shaft O-rings at the same time — these components are exposed during grid removal and are common sources of D.E. bypass when worn. Replacing them during the same service call avoids reopening the filter shortly after. If your grids show uneven D.E. coating or D.E. is returning to the pool, check the small grid element first — it is the most common point of failure and is included in this pack.
