About This Item
OEM Replacement Lid for Pentair Low Profile Actuator Valves
The Pentair Low Profile Valve Lid Assembly with O-Ring (230045) is the OEM replacement lid assembly for Pentair Low Profile Actuator Valves used in in-floor pool cleaning and circulation systems.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: KIT LISTING — LID ASSEMBLY WITH O-RING INCLUDED
This listing is a kit that includes the lid assembly and O-ring together — not the lid alone. Both components are supplied as a single unit of measure.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate the included O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
The low profile actuator valve lid seals the top of the valve body, protecting the internal actuator mechanism from debris and water intrusion. The integrated O-ring provides the pressure seal between the lid and valve housing. A cracked, discoloured, or warped lid — or a degraded O-ring — allows debris ingress and compromises valve actuation, leading to uneven distribution across in-floor cleaning heads. Replacing the lid assembly restores a secure, watertight seal.

Pro Tip
The lid on these valves is subject to UV degradation and thermal cycling. When servicing the valve for any reason, inspect the lid for stress fractures around the locking tabs. If in doubt, replace the lid assembly at the same time. Before seating the lid, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring to ensure even seating and prevent tearing during assembly. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade the O-ring and shorten its service life.
