About This Item
The Pentair Low Profile Valve O-Ring (230046Z) is the OEM replacement sealing O-ring for the Low Profile Actuator Valve series used in Pentair in-floor pool cleaning and circulation systems.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring maintains the internal seal within the Low Profile Actuator Valve, preventing water bypass and ensuring the valve cycles correctly between positions. A degraded or cracked O-ring will allow water to leak past the valve seat, reducing pressure to the in-floor cleaning heads and compromising circulation performance. Replacing this O-ring at the first sign of leakage or during routine valve service restores the seal to OEM specification.

Pro Tip
Before installation, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring. This helps seat it evenly, prevents tearing during assembly, and extends service life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade rubber O-rings and cause premature seal failure.
