For PLD Series filters, this latch is confirmed for systems manufactured 2009 and beyond. If your PLD filter predates 2009, verify the part number against your equipment's manual or the original part before ordering.
The safety latch secures the clamping ring that seals the filter tank halves together, preventing the ring from releasing under operating pressure. A broken or missing latch compromises the integrity of the tank seal and must be replaced before returning the filter to service. One latch is included per listing.
