The Pentair 271103Z is the OEM replacement valve top O-ring for the HiFlow 1-1/2" and 2" Top Mount and Side Mount Multiport Valve. If your multiport valve lid is weeping water or losing pressure at the top cap, this is the seal that needs replacing.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: LUBRICATION REQUIRED — SOLD SEPARATELY
Always lubricate this O-ring with a silicone-based lubricant before installation. We carry the Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant — the OEM-matched product for Pentair equipment.
This O-ring seats at the top of the valve body, sealing the valve cap against the multiport housing. A degraded or flattened O-ring at this location allows water to escape around the valve handle assembly, reducing system pressure and causing visible leaks at the valve top. Replacing this seal restores a watertight fit between the cap and valve body.

Pro Tip
Before installation, apply a thin coat of Pentair R172351 Lifeguard® Silicone Lubricant to the O-ring. This helps seat it evenly in the groove, prevents tearing during reassembly, and extends service life. Never use petroleum-based lubricants — they will degrade rubber O-rings. When you have the valve top open, inspect the spider gasket at the base of the rotor as well; if it shows cracking or compression set, replace it at the same time to avoid a second service visit.
