The Pentair Seal - Diverter (272409Z) is the OEM replacement seal for the Pentair Hi-Flow 2" valve, sold individually.

The diverter seal maintains a pressure-tight barrier between flow paths within the valve body, ensuring water is directed precisely through the selected port position. When this seal degrades, valve positions lose isolation — resulting in flow bypass, reduced backwash effectiveness, and filter performance loss. Replacing a worn diverter seal restores proper port-to-port sealing and returns the valve to accurate directional control.

When servicing the Hi-Flow valve diverter seal, inspect the diverter rotor and valve body seat for scoring or wear at the same time. Surface damage to either mating surface will cause continued leakage between ports even after a fresh seal is installed. Confirm all contact surfaces are clean and free of damage before reassembly.
