The Pentair 272512Z is the OEM replacement diverter with gasket for the HiFlow 6-Way 1-1/2" MultiPort Valve. If your multiport valve is bypassing, not holding position, or allowing water to flow through the wrong port, the diverter is the most likely cause — this is its direct replacement.
What It Does
The diverter is the internal rotating component of the multiport valve body. It channels water to the correct port — filter, backwash, rinse, waste, recirculate, or closed — based on handle position. A worn or cracked diverter allows water to bypass port seals, causing flow to reach the wrong line or reducing filtration effectiveness. Replacing the diverter assembly restores full port isolation and proper flow control.
