The Pentair O-Ring Valve Body (272541Z) is the OEM replacement valve body O-ring for the HiFlow 6-Way 1-1/2" Top and Side Mount Multiport Valve, used across the Tagelus, Cristal-Flo II, and Sand Dollar sand filter lines.
This O-ring seals the valve body on the multiport valve assembly. When the valve body O-ring degrades, it can allow water to bypass the valve's intended flow path, resulting in pressure loss, backwash inefficiency, or cross-contamination between filter positions. When removing the multiport valve for O-ring replacement, inspect the valve's rotor O-ring and diverter gasket at the same time — these components wear at similar rates and are inexpensive to replace together while the valve is already disassembled. Apply a thin coat of Pentair-approved silicone lubricant (never petroleum-based grease) to the new O-ring before reassembly to extend its service life and ensure an even seat.
