The Pentair Center Diverter (274416Z) is the OEM replacement diverter for the FullFloXF® Backwash Valve, restoring proper flow direction and sealing performance to this valve assembly.
The center diverter is the core rotating component inside the FullFloXF® backwash valve. It directs water flow between filter, backwash, rinse, and waste positions as the valve handle is turned. When the diverter wears or cracks, the valve loses the ability to fully isolate flow paths — resulting in incomplete backwashing, water bypassing the filter media, or flow leaking into the waste line during normal filtration. Replacing the center diverter restores clean, positive flow separation between all valve positions.
